I was born in Central Asia away from my heritage roots and my present abode. While completing my studies at Rutgers University Business School, I was searching for myself. I was looking for a good life. Possibly, thinking about it more than an average college student. I realized that going after jobs that will only help cover rent, a few credit card bills, and slowly pay off loans are NOT enough. I also knew that whatever I would start will highly influence the direction of my life. I decided that working in a cubicle is not the way to spend my life. Analyzing life and the lives of people helped me put everything in perspective. I always wondered why people have midlife crisis. It must be the in-flood of accumulated stress and pain they feel for making the choices that were not meant to bring them happiness. I discovered that working to build someone else's dream is not right, unless you highly support it. At the end of the day there needs to be SOME meaning to your life. Otherwise, you slowly die. The job that pays the bills sucks the life right out of you! Even the weekend and a vacation become mediocre because your liveliness is drained. It becomes really hard to go after your dream then. Many even forget they had them once. All they want is some rest and not to worry about bills. Life is on an auto pilot then. I say THIS is WRONG. Just the other day I was talking to a sweet girl who had dreams when she went to college. Then, she says, bills and long hours at work (for which she settled) happened. She made the conclusion that dreams are simply illusions that don’t fit in real life. Ahhhh! It hurts because that conclusion is made by so so many of us. Many never even try to go after what we want. What was your ultimate dream? The one you disqualified because of lack of resources to get the skills for it or simply fund it? I am here to tell you that it is okay to start dreaming again. The world is changing! You may have noticed. If you haven’t, I will show you that it is changing.
